Production Assistant
The Awards & Frame Company is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys creating quality products, working with a variety of materials, and helping bring customer orders from concept to completion.
As a Production Assistant, you will help produce custom awards, apparel, picture framing, signs, engraved items, and other personalized products. No two days are exactly alike—you may assemble trophies and plaques, prepare artwork, assist with garment printing, help with framing projects, produce signs and graphics, organize materials, and support the team wherever needed to keep orders moving smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with production and assembly of trophies, plaques, medals, acrylic awards, and engraved items
- Help produce custom apparel, including preparing garments and assisting with printing or finishing
- Assist with custom picture framing, signage, banners, decals, and other shop projects
- Prepare, organize, pull, and restock materials for customer orders
- Review finished work for accuracy, quality, and presentation before it leaves the shop
- Keep production areas clean, organized, and ready for the next job
- Work closely with office staff and production team members to meet customer deadlines
- Learn and follow shop procedures, equipment-safety practices, and quality-control standards

- Comfortable working with tools, materials, and hands-on projects
- Able to follow directions while also using good judgment and initiative
- Organized and able to help manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Graphic design, CorelDRAW, Adobe, or other artwork experience is a plus—but not required
- Experience in awards, apparel decoration, signage, framing, engraving, or production is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person

Promotional Products Account Manager
The Awards & Frame Company is growing our promotional products division and is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Promotional Products Account Manager to build a strong book of business in the central Virginia area.
This is a commission-based sales opportunity with excellent income potential for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and helping businesses, schools, churches, teams, and organizations promote their brand. The more you sell, the more you earn—with no artificial ceiling on your income potential.
We are not looking for someone to simply sell products. We want someone who can listen to customers, understand their goals, and recommend the right promotional solutions. Our company offers access to a huge selection of branded merchandise, apparel, awards, signage, banners, decals, engraving, and custom recognition products—giving you many ways to serve each customer and create repeat business.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and develop new business with local companies, schools, churches, sports teams, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and become their trusted source for branded merchandise and promotional solutions.
- Reach out to existing customers and identify opportunities for promotional products, apparel, signs, awards, recognition items, and other custom products.
- Meet with customers, ask the right questions, and learn about their audience, event or purpose, budget, quantity, deadline, and artwork needs.
- Research and recommend creative product ideas—not just products—that help customers promote their business, event, team, or organization.
- Prepare accurate quotes, follow up quickly, and help move projects from idea to completed order.
- Work with our in-house team and supplier network to obtain quotes, review artwork and proofs, communicate lead times, and keep orders moving smoothly.
- Track leads, customer communication, quotes, and orders in our company systems.
- Build repeat business through dependable service, fast follow-up, and professional communication.
- Look for cross-selling opportunities. Every customer needing awards, engraving, apparel, signs, framing, or promotional products may have additional needs we can help fulfill.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales, account-management, promotional-products, apparel, advertising-specialty, or B2B experience is preferred.
- A self-starter who is comfortable prospecting, making calls, visiting businesses, and developing new customer relationships.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Someone who is organized, dependable, responsive, and follows through.
- The ability to manage multiple quotes, deadlines, customer needs, and follow-up tasks.
- A professional, positive attitude and the ability to represent The Awards & Frame Company well in the community.
- Basic comfort using email, online product research tools, and customer-management systems.
- Promotional-products experience is helpful, but we are willing to help the right motivated person learn our products, suppliers, and sales process.
Compensation & Opportunity
This is a commission-based position designed for a motivated salesperson who wants to control their own earning potential. You will have the opportunity to build recurring income by developing lasting customer relationships and growing your own book of business.
The Awards & Frame Company provides the product access, supplier relationships, in-house production capabilities, local reputation, and support needed to help you succeed. Your role is to create relationships, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and grow sales.
